Qualitative class: it’s related to the Italian classification of quality, which includes 5 class:

1st = high quality, wheat suitable for bakery products and high leavening products;
2nd = wheat suitable for special breads and other bakery products;
3rd = good for bread;
4th = wheat good for biscuits and crackers;
5th = other uses (also feed).

ASSO

Two-rows variety, winter type,
suitable to dry and marginal areas. Good test weight and good performances as feed and
food after pearling.

 

   

VEGA

Six-rows variety, winter type, suitable to many different environments.
Resistant to Barley Mosaic Virus and to Barley Stripe.

BIONDA

Alternative type, suitable to many environments and different time of sowing.
Very good as forage grass in mixture for hay, in pastures, grassland and for silage.
